Welcome to Joe's Nithilam

Things to Do at Joe's Nithilam

From farming to traditional games, bonfires, and stargazing — here's everything guests can do during a visit to Joe's Nithilam.

Every Experience, in One Place

Joe's Nithilam is built around real farm experiences rather than a fixed activity schedule — guests, families, school groups, and day-trip visitors pick from a wide range of farming, nature, and traditional activities depending on the season, group, and time available.

On the farming side, guests can take part in sowing seeds, watering plants, and harvesting vegetables alongside the family that runs the farm. Nature activities include walks through the farm and the garden, bird watching, farm photography, sunset viewing, gardening, and stargazing once the sky turns dark — genuinely dark, since the farm sits away from city lights.

For play, there's the pumpset and tank for a refreshing dip (with adult supervision), and a full set of traditional Tamil games — Pallanguzhi, Sottanguli, Paramapadam, Nondi, Kitti Pul, Uriyadi, Thaayam, Aadu Puli Aattam, Kannaamoochi, Kokku Parakkudhu, Pambaram, and Kayiru Izhuthal. Evenings typically wind down with a bonfire and music.

The farmhouse and surrounding fields also work well as a shoot location for short films, pre-wedding shoots, and photography sessions — reach out in advance if you're planning one.
